Lucky Charms Matcha Latte: Tasting the Nostalgia

YOU GUYSSSSS!!! This straight up tastes like lucky charms. I was so surprised that it was so spot on. The old lucky charms when I was a kid. I got a box of lucky charms cereal for this drink (actually one of the little cups) but anyways… lucky charms doesn’t taste like it did when I was a kid. I don’t usually eat cereal cause I don’t drink milk anymore, but I had a bowl of it for this special occasion. I was really disappointed. I still used it to garnish my matcha latte because the cereal part is really just for looks cause everyone loves a cute matcha. What I found was that it actually tastes like what little Charlee remembered it as.

Okay so it’s actually super easy to make it! You can follow along to the video I posted below or I put a recipe card below too. Please let me know what you think in the comments below too!!

The Best Lucky Charms Matcha at Home Recipe

This has been going around the internet lately so I had to give it a go. IT DID NOT DISSAPOINT!!!
Total Time 5 minutes
Course: Drinks

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp white chocolate syrup I use torani
  • 1 tbsp lavendar syrup I am very particular about lavender syrups and 1883 is THE BEST linked below!
  • 1 tbsp your fav matcha I like jade leaf matcha latte, also great for people just getting into matcha
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1/2 c milk I use oat and even if you are not non-dairy, oat milk tastes so much better than cow's milk for lattes
  • 1-2 tbsp brown sugar oat creamer

Method

  1. First put your 1 tbsp matcha powder and 1/4 c and either shake them in a shaker cup, use a frother as shown in my video, or put it in a mason jar to shake it up.
  2. Once your matcha is made, take your drinking cup and line it with about 1 tbsp white chocolate syrup, and add your desired amount of ice.
  3. Pour in your matcha mixture over the ice
  4. Pour about 1 tbsp of lavender syrup in your cup
  5. Then add your milk, usually I add in about 1/2 c or so.
  6. ThenI like to add a splash of brown sugar oat creamer
  7. Top with some actual Lucky Charms Cereal
  8. Voila! Now you're ready to be transported back to 2008 with that amazing Lucky Charm Cereal flavor. I was really surprised how exactly spot on it was.
